The 144000 Priesthood Foregleam in Israel’s Priesthood
Q: Why is the Aaronic/Levitical Priesthood a valid separate picture of the 144000, since the whole nation of Israel was in the covenant, was in not the “whole nation” of Christians in the new covenant?

Well firstly Israel was a single nation that foregleamed that greater fulfillment towards all mankind – the new covenant cannot be constrained to the nation of Israel in the flesh, the Mosaic law and tabernacle have a far far greater and huger final application to ALL mankind back to Abel.
I want to try to show that the 144000 in “new covenant” must extend a true beneficial provision over all mankind, that requires a heavenly perfect and incorruptible means to administer this into a human creation that is enormous in comparison to Israel’s typical patterns for teaching purposes to understand the “new covenant” reality to take place from heaven’s will to be done fully on earth.
What this means in part is that even the ignorant and unrighteous are to be in the ransom purchase of Jesus Christ, hence a resurrection of the unrighteous with full opportunity to achieve also everlasting life. (Acts 17:30; 1John2:2) Yet obviously these are not “in” the new covenant, but beneficiaries of it’s blessings. All the resurrections have the purpose of life, the earthly unrighteous as well, and though these will be in a “period of decision”, a “judgment”, this is not in the past tense, but an ongoing “Judgment Day” of 1000 years, to assess everyone’s individual desire to come completely under Jehovah’s sovereignty, which will be pictured by Jesus Christ’s rulership as God’s anointed King in this period – even he is subject, but has the Kingdom authority subjected to him.
Contrary to many erred doctrines, the “unrighteous” are not resurrected to be judged to condemnation, the “judgment” is totally open to avoid condemnation, as Jesus Christ promised the sinner thief besides him at the impalement. No reason for Christ to promise this man something, and he was fully unrighteous, that Jesus will not also deliver in that resurrection. No way was a man hours from death, going to be a “holy one” by a recognition, though great and rewarded by Jesus Christ, this man will have to leave his former practices and the desires that led to them behind.
So this “new covenant” is not inclusive of the earthly righteous and unrighteous in the earthling classes – they are the ones who can ACTUALLY benefit from it, the heavenly class is sinless and incorruptible, they have no need for even the High Priest for forgiveness any longer, they have been perfected, no Jesus Christ is the lead Priest for HUMAN BEINGS, and they will share in this. This “covenant” is for a kingdom, a kingdom to rule the earth. The kingdom territory and subjects are on earth and human. No need to have a Kingdom in which everyone is a king ruling birds and bees, or a kingdom of priests with no humans to mediate the provisions of priestly powers unto. We have to recall the prophets of God will receive reward at Revelation 11:15-18, yet Abraham to Malachi, Job, Melchizedek, Enoch, Abel and others are not in the “new covenant” agreement, they never fully heard of it, or were inspired to merely give foregleams of it.
(1 Peter 1:10-12) . . .Concerning this very salvation a diligent inquiry and a careful search were made by the prophets who prophesied about the undeserved kindness meant for YOU. 11 They kept on investigating what particular season or what sort of [season] the spirit in them was indicating concerning Christ when it was bearing witness beforehand about the sufferings for Christ and about the glories to follow these. 12 It was revealed to them that, not to themselves, but to YOU, they were ministering the things that have now been announced to YOU through those who have declared the good news to YOU with holy spirit sent forth from heaven. Into these very things angels are desiring to peer.
This “new covenant” is for a completing from one event, the 1000 year reign for an inclusive benefit to all:
(Hebrews 11:39-40) . . .And yet all these, although they had witness borne to them through their faith, did not get the fulfillment of the promise, 40 as God foresaw something better for us, in order that they might not be made perfect apart from us.
Israel is an “itty bitty” picture of a reality that must encompass billions of humans back to Abel. This true work will tie the human family back to Adam, who is to be replaced in the lineage of all men, by Last Adam, for Adam will expire as he did individually, so will his leavened sinner bread, his sourdough flesh CANNOT be made perfect, he blew that opportunity, Jesus in fulfillment of Isa 53:10, and Psalm 2:8 RECEIVES the human world, as shown also in Rev11:15-18, Rev21:1-5, and Rev22:1-3, these are humans being blessed in Rev22:1-3, according to the STILL ACTIVE Abrahamic covenant promise and sworn oath of God to the “families of the GROUND” and the “nations of the EARTH”; Gen12; Gen22.
Jesus Christ is also for Jehovah fulfilling Abrahamic promise to be “heir of a world” and that is this human restoration, an earthly world.
Yes even in Israel’s time we see the national covenant had another aspect of blood definition.
One, the Passover lamb blood was not the ratification, this was:
(Exodus 24:6-8) . . .Then Moses took half the blood and put it in bowls, and half the blood he sprinkled upon the altar. 7 Finally he took the book of the covenant and read it in the ears of the people. Then they said: “All that Jehovah has spoken we are willing to do and be obedient.” 8 So Moses took the blood and sprinkled it upon the people and said: “Here is the blood of the covenant that Jehovah has concluded with YOU as respects all these words.”

The “new creation” was foregleamed:
(Exodus 34:10) . . .In turn he said: “Here I am concluding a covenant: Before all your people I shall do wonderful things that have never been created in all the earth or among all the nations; and all the people in the midst of whom you are will indeed see the work of Jehovah, because it is a fear-inspiring thing that I am doing with you.
The whole nation of Israel were able to enter the agreement, and were now in it:
(Exodus 34:27) . . .And Jehovah went on to say to Moses: “Write down for yourself these words, because it is in accordance with these words that I do conclude a covenant with you and Israel.”
BUT, at the priestly installation, the Aaronic priesthood was specifically empowered by blood for a special service, foregleaming Christ and the 144000 priesthood under him, that it would apply to the “assembly” is noted for greater fulfillment in the 1000 year reign:
(Leviticus 8:1-3) . . .And Jehovah proceeded to speak to Moses, saying: 2 “Take Aaron and his sons with him and the garments and the anointing oil and the bull of the sin offering and the two rams and the basket of unfermented cakes, 3 and make all the assembly congregate at the entrance of the tent of meeting.”
That the ram “sealed” the priests is denoting the “bull blood” sealed Jesus Christ, sinless it is true, but empowered with powerful lifeblood reality. The 144000 are pictured in the ram of the installations blood empowerment and sealing/anointing:
(Leviticus 8:22-24) . . .Then he brought the second ram, the ram of the installation, near, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the ram’s head. 23 After that Moses slaughtered it and took some of its blood and put it upon the lobe of Aaron’s right ear and upon the thumb of his right hand and upon the big toe of his right foot. 24 Next Moses brought Aaron’s sons near and put some of the blood upon the lobe of their right ear and upon the thumb of their right hand and upon the big toe of their right foot; but Moses sprinkled the rest of the blood round about upon the altar.
Now the installation shares patterns with the Day of Atonement, but was completely different as to it’s significance. The Priestly Installation, though requiring forgiveness, was upon the priests only, and was the ceremony of their installment and empowerment.
THEN came Atonement Day, and the patterns are now expanded to the sin covering of the people, in two animal sacrifices, the blood of the more powerful bull picturing the powers in the installed 144000, and the goats for the peaopl’s sin covering, this pictures even all mankind, even ones not aware, in death and dust, of this provision, Jehovah will bring them in from the “wilderness” in the earthly emptying of “Death and Hades and the “Sea”" as in Rev20:13; Rev1:18.
(Leviticus 16:3-6) . . .“With the following Aaron should come into the holy place: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. 4 He should put on the holy linen robe, and the linen drawers should come upon his flesh, and he should gird himself with the linen sash and wrap himself with the linen turban. They are holy garments. And he must bathe his flesh in water and put them on. 5 “And from the assembly of the sons of Israel he should take two male kids of the goats for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering. 6 “And Aaron must present the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and he must make atonement in behalf of himself and his house.
(Leviticus 16:14-15) 14 “And he must take some of the bull’s blood and spatter it with his finger in front of the cover on the east side, and he will spatter some of the blood with his finger seven times before the cover. 15 “And he must slaughter the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people, and he must bring its blood inside the curtain and do with its blood the same as he did with the bull’s blood; and he must spatter it toward the cover and before the cover.

So as with Israel, the “passover blood” of the greater lamb will again “deliver” a human world-wide “nation” of all humanity to another “covenant” yet to be revealed under provision of the “new covenant”, but not for the Kingdom. Apparently the “New Scrolls” and the future times will reveal all this in more detail.

John tells us further: “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ‘Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them.’” (Revelation 21:3) When Jehovah made the Law covenant with the then new nation of Israel, he promised: “I shall certainly put my tabernacle in the midst of you, and my soul will not abhor you. And I shall indeed walk in the midst of you and prove myself your God, and you, on your part, will prove yourselves my people.” (Leviticus 26:11, 12) Now Jehovah is making a similar promise to faithful humans. During the thousand-year Judgment Day, they will become a very special people to him.
Yet we see the foregleam must apply to the totality of the nations continuing in faith, the “twelve tribes” pictured on Matt19:28; Luke22:28-30, to be potentially perfected in obedience, this is a foregleam that must apply to the entire race of man who is faithful up to the point of Satan’s release in perfection and able to be in “covenant” with Jehovah with no need of mediation for sin:
(Deuteronomy 11:26-28) 26 “See, I am putting before YOU today blessing and malediction: 27 the blessing, provided YOU will obey the commandments of Jehovah YOUR God that I am commanding YOU today; 28 and the malediction, if YOU will not obey the commandments of Jehovah YOUR God and YOU do turn aside from the way about which I am commanding YOU today, so as to walk after other gods whom YOU have not known.
(Deuteronomy 30:1-10) . . .“And it must occur that when all these words will come upon you, the blessing and the malediction, which I have put before you, and you have brought them back to your heart among all the nations where Jehovah your God has dispersed you, 2 and you have returned to Jehovah your God and listened to his voice according to all that I am commanding you today, you and your sons, with all your heart and all your soul, 3 Jehovah your God must also bring back your captives and show you mercy and collect you again from all the peoples where Jehovah your God has scattered you. 4 If your dispersed people should be at the end of the heavens, from there Jehovah your God will collect you and from there he will take you. 5 Jehovah your God will indeed bring you into the land of which your fathers took possession, and you will certainly take possession of it; and he will indeed do you good and multiply you more than your fathers. 6 And Jehovah your God will have to circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, that you may love Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul for the sake of your life. 7 And Jehovah your God will certainly put all these oaths upon your enemies and those who hate you, who have persecuted you. 8 “As for you, you will turn and certainly listen to the voice of Jehovah and do all his commandments that I am commanding you today. 9 And Jehovah your God will indeed make you have more than enough in every work of your hand, in the fruit of your belly and the fruit of your domestic animals and the fruitage of your soil, resulting in prosperity; because Jehovah will again exult over you for good, just as he exulted over your forefathers; 10 for you will listen to the voice of Jehovah your God so as to keep his commandments and his statutes written in this book of the law, because you will return to Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul.
(Deuteronomy 30:19-20) . . .I do take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against YOU today, that I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the malediction; and you must choose life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring, 20 by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice and by sticking to him; for he is your life and the length of your days, that you may dwell upon the ground that Jehovah swore to your forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to give to them.”
