Q: How many of the 144000 are kings and how much are priests? and explain why many kings.

We know about the administration of that, it looks like all are like Jesus, kings and priests (Royal Priesthood 1Pet2:9).
I know the governmental mishmash present today, will be replaced by a God directed perfect governance, distributed earth wide by divine power. (Selected High Priest Heb4:14-16; 5:7-10; Isaiah 2:4: distributed over the nations)
1. What we know, is that before man can have death actually removed where it is a problem (earth), a sacrifice is needed for atonement to God. It’s a free gift, because that sinlessness needed in that atonement, was lost by Adam, and everybody born into his sin. That’s an inherited sin which Christ’s blood atones by faith in it. (1John2:2)
2. For man to be brought to sinlessness complete, is going to take time, sin is in our flesh, and our behaviors throughout our systems, and in our management techniques of the planet. Applying that sacrifice will be needed for a while, until perfection is reached. As you said billions of people will be involved, globally.
3. Spiritual perfection and physical perfection went hand in hand, when Adam sinned, a spiritual death became manifest in a physical death. Physical perfection has a process, I don’t know what it is, but it’s also a restoration of the planet to a non-polluted, life sustaining condition. The planet has been compromised by man, in air, water, and soil, amongst other things to deep to understand. That balance has to be developed, how I don’t know, God will direct it by his wisdom, not ours. Spiritual perfection will be followed by the physical, represented in Christs body, the Last Adam’s body.
Now here is my logic. God’s kingdom will apply it’s power from God through Jesus, a power he will share with the 144,000 to apply to humankind in it’s development over 1000 years on earth, completely. The government, unlike our governments today, will be:
1. Unified in righteous purpose, perfect in wisdom, perfect in love, perfect in power, perfect in justice.
2. It will not be centralized (Many peoples, many lands, much territory, many kings above). Although it exists in heaven, it’s application to the world will be applied for the benefit of every man, everywhere, distributed in power perfectly. The planet itself, from a man to an ant, to a blade of grass, will benefit from the application of that perfect spirit and power. NEVER again will God sacrifice his world, the point will have been proven, all the issues of rulership are currently adding up to one truth: Only God knows how to rule the planet, man, animal and plant, man cannot rule man effectively, we have not the right, we stole it with Satan, in Eden; That issue will be resolved. The nations must walk by a the true light. (Rev21:24)
3. Rulership and Priestly power will be righteous, the application of sacrificial atonement will be perfect, leading to a perfect sinless human being with faith, who can now have a direct, freewill relationship with God, in time, the process we do not know exactly. Our actions at this point (perfection) will be our responsibility, the sacrifice will be complete in giving life to us by sin removal, continuing that life will be the same with us, as it was with Adam, we have to respect God’s rights to his own law which he commands us to obey to live, remain sinless. (We don’t know what that or those laws are, but love is certain to remain a law, but as you know Adam and the woman, had but one law to obey.)
After the 1000 years, Satan will be released and tempt again, and raise his lieing issues.
When that final temptation is complete, and man remains sinless or sins (individually Rev20:7-15), the whole of Satan and his rebellion can be removed. Death is brought to nothing, as it is shown in 1Cor15:24+, and in Heb2:14, the main sinner (devil) must be removed, and those who follow his lie, from angelic demon to human being.
