GLOBAL Great Tribulation in Our Time: A Common Pattern (Recognizable in the Bible)

This post will show how the great tribulation Jesus spoke shows patterns which Jesus showed to be global.
1. It would be earthwide.
2. It would have a tribulator, something causing cataclysm globally orchestrated, other than God himself.
3. It would end with a divine response, the world’s end.

The Pattern is Already Set:
1. What’s the KEY to understanding the global nature? Well when was the last time the world ended? Noah’s Flood. Jesus, when discussing why a large majority would be swept away in the Great Tribulation, patterned it precisely upon the attitudes present in Noah’s day: Preoccupation and Distraction.

“Just as the days of Noah were… as they were in those days before the flood… until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and THEY TOOK NO NOTE until the flood
came and swept them all away”

Luke21:25-28
“There will be signs… on the earth anguish of nations not knowing the way out… men become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited
earth… then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory… your deliverance is getting near.”

“It will come in upon ALL those dwelling upon the face of ALL the earth. Keep awake… make supplication that you may succeed in escaping ALL these things that are
destined to occur and in standing before the Son of man.”

“unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be CUT SHORT”

“Those days will be days of a tribulation such as has not occurred from the beginning of the creation which God created… and will not occur

CUT SHORT=Ends at Har-Magedon

A. Distracted, they simply took no note of the sign of impending catastrophe.
2. The Great tribulation, will be a time of GLOBAL test (tribulation defined: persecution/oppression), collapse and attempted destruction of man and the ENTIRE earth by the chief architect, this world’s ruler, Satan.

Daniel12:1
“Michael will stand up..there will certainly occur a time of distress such as has not been made to occur since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape”…
Matt24:21
“for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until”
3. Another great KEY to understanding this, is the three major scriptures which show the distress, or tribulation period, will end with a fiery response from God, Jesus called the days “cut short”, Paul says it end with “revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels”, and Daniel wrote “during that time your people will escape” the cataclysmic end.
2Thess1:6-8
..”it is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those (demons and humans) who make tribulation for you but, to you who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels 8 in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those”…
